Remove all officers before employees. The Chief Justice of Pakistan hinted at the closure of the steel mill.

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed has held the management responsible for the plight of Pakistan Steel Mills and remarked that all officers should be fired before the employees. According to details, a case related to the promotion of Pakistan Steel employees was heard in the Supreme Court. In the hearing, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed asked, "If the mill is closed, what are 439 officers doing?" Today we will issue an order to shut down Pakistan Steel, today we will fire the workers of Steel Mills.

The employees' lawyers told the court that the steel mill employees were ready to work. The Chief Justice remarked that some people in the steel mill did not work even for a day from recruitment to retirement. Who will repay the mill's debt of Rs 212 billion? Will management and workers have no sense of organization? The Chief Justice said that no worker or officer donated his blood to the Steel Mill.

Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan in his remarks said that the mill is closed but the employees are demanding promotions. The steel mill was once the backbone of our economy. Lawyers and employees said that if the mill is closed then the government should run it. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court asked where is the chairman of the steel mill? On which the lawyer of Pakistan Steel Mill said that the chairman is abroad, the Chief Justice inquired whether the chairman of the steel mill is at government expense? Justice Gulzar Ahmed, who said that the chairman went out at his own expense and was not even receiving his salary, said that the secretary should not work as an officer.
